In October I taught a Mixed Medium class for 4th-6th graders at the Art Place, an arts center in Marietta, Georgia. I had four wonderful students! It is so much fun to teach a small group of kids. My Funky Art Doll assemblage was inspired by Opie & Linda O'Brien. Our final project in the class was our assemblage doll. They all turned out fantastic. The bonus for me was that I created my own assemblage as an example for the students. I have been wanting to create an assemblage doll for ages. Isn't she great! I had a ball creating her. I still have not come up with a fitting name for her. Do you have any ideas?

- Creating art and sharing it with others is my passion in life! I love all art media, especially Book Arts, Collage, Origami, and Ceramics. I grew up in the rich arts community of Winston-Salem, N.C. I have a great affinity for nature and all bodies of water, since I am a Pisces. I live in the Grant Park neighborhood, in Atlanta, GA with my husband, John. We have lived in our 100 year old bungalow, which we renovated, for 24 years.
